When Maz was 11 years old, she witnessed a mysterious event which many locals still claim was a visit to their small Welsh coastal town by a UFO. Maz’s dad, a scientist and keen astronomer, disappeared that very night, leaving Maz and her family bereaved. Five years later, Maz once again spots an inexplicable light hovering in the sky. With the help of her best mate Little Elis, local conspiracy theorist Bryn and friendly psychic Shifty Gruff, Maz sets out to uncover the truth, investigating the secretive goings-on at the military base where her father worked. This coming-of-age comedy is packed with 90s nostalgia and sci-fi vibes, exploring relatable themes such as friendships, growing up, grief, and family rallying together.
