Treasure Island in space! Rebellious teenager Jim Hawkins is given a map to the Treasure Planet and sets off to find it by landing a job as cabin boy on a space galleon (complete with cyborg cook John Silver). With spaceships that look like sailing ships, and laser guns that look like flintlock pistols, the film brilliantly blends the historical with the futuristic.
Explorers is an inventive, sophisticated fantasy adventure in which two kids build their own space craft in a suburban garage.
