This French language, stop-motion animation follows 9-year-old Icare, nicknamed Courgette by his mother, as he is taken into care. Though initially uncertain, he soon grows to flourish in his surroundings with new friends and regular visits from policeman Raymond. Full of colourful design and with an affecting story at its centre, this is a sensitive, humorous and inspiring film which touches upon difficult issues with great care.
