Meeting Sam Wilson, the Into Film Festival Director

As ever, the Autumn term sees us gearing up for the Into Film Festival, which takes place this year between 8 - 24 November, with a programme packed with 3,000 screenings of over 140 films, many with special events, talks and Q&A sessions taking place. The Into Film Festival is one of the most exciting times of the year, both for us at Into Film, and for the half a million (!) educators, club leaders, parents and young people that attend. But how exactly does the UK-wide event get put together?

To find out, our reporter Hope sat down with Sam Wilson, the Director of the Into Film Festival, where they spoke about everything from this year's Festival Programme and the thinking behind the curated strands, to the exciting opening event (a pupil premiere of Paddington 2), and the incredible range of venues across the UK that we're making use of to screen films at this year's Festival. Watch their interview in the video above to find out all about the Festival, from the man in charge of making it happen.
