This story, however, which takes place in 1953, finds them struggling to draw sizeable audiences as they tour across the UK in the hope of relaunching their career, post-World War Two, with a new feature film - their take on the legend of Robin Hood. But as they head towards their big London finale, Hardy's health takes a turn for the worse which threatens to jeopardise everything in poignant drama Stan & Ollie.
After leaving rural France for bohemian Paris at the dawn of the 20th century and marrying a writer known as Willy, a young Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette is soon tasked by her husband with writing her own series of novels to aid with their financial difficulties, though they are to be published under his name. After a semi-autobiographical series of novels finds success and thrusts the pair into the limelight, Colette grows increasingly frustrated at her lack of recognition, and wages a fight for her freedom.
