Moving short film Think Of Me wins Film of the Month

16-year-old Nick Connor jointly won our December / January Film of the Month competition with this moving, atmospheric, and technically skilled short film about a young boy coping with the loss of his sister.

Nick has been making films since he was 12, and is inspired by some very influential filmmakers. He told us: "After watching Mark Cousins The Story of Film: An Odyssey I saw the beauty in cinema and discovered directors like Fellini, Bergman, Roeg and Trier which all made me want to make films and tell stories through a visual medium."

Nick had some great advice for fellow young filmmakers, saying "make mistakes, use your life experiences, and don't be afraid to experiment, as otherwise you'll never find your style." For Nick to have such a clear filmmaking style at such a young age points to a very talented and creative individual - we're sure this won't be the last award he receives.

Nick jointly won with BossCrowns Film and Drama school's fantasy themed short, The River Kingdom
