Today (5 June) marks World Environment Day, organised by the United Nations since 1974 to encourage worldwide awareness and action in protecting our environment.

With over 100 countries now taking part, it's a truly essential opportunity to engage your students with the myriad of urgent environment issues facing us today, with this year's official theme being around 'air pollution.'

Make sure to check out both the various official lesson plans and resources and our own Eco Explorers resource, and browse our selection of environmentally themed films below that can be ordered, watched and discussed in your club/classroom.

Here at Into Film, we're committed to making our company more eco-friendly and recently created a green team to consider how we can improve our practices and office culture. It has proven to be an incredibly positive and productive way of collaboratively addressing issues of sustaintability, and we'd encourage all schools and film clubs to band together on World Environment Day to consider how they can be more green.
