Wellbeing: Anti-Bullying

Broaden your anti-bullying knowledge and discover film-based strategies to engage your learners.

Wellbeing: Anti-Bullying

With one in four children reporting being bullied on a regular basis*, it is essential that we address the challenging topic of bullying. Our Anti-Bullying training, created in partnership with the Anti-Bullying Alliance, has been made with educators of PSHE, PSE, Health and Wellbeing, Learning for Life and Work (LLW) and Citizenship in mind.

A film-focused session, it will develop your confidence in tackling conversations around bulling, examining appropriate behaviours through the analysis of on-screen action and using higher order questioning techniques and practical activities, such as character crossroads and conscience alleys.

You will also explore how to positively express thoughts, voice and understanding through a short filmmaking task.

The session is a part of Into Film's Wellbeing Training, which also includes Mindfulness on Film and Staying Safe Online. Film is a powerful tool for developing empathy, exploring the impact of ‘what ifs' and discussing difficult issues faced by the character all at a level removed from issues that a pupil may be facing themselves.
