After helping Batman and Wonder Woman to foil a robbery in Gotham City, Barry Allen – whose superhero alter ego is The Flash – returns to his childhood home where he used to live with his parents, Henry and Nora, before his father was wrongfully imprisoned for his mother’s murder. Overcome by the memories of this, Barry uses the Speed Force to travel back in time to the day of the murder in order to try and change events for the better. Although he initially prevents his mother’s death, when he returns to the present Barry finds that the future has altered dramatically: General Zod is preparing to invade Earth, but the Justice League no longer exists, as in this alternate timeline Diana (Wonder Woman) cannot be located, Victor Stone (Cyborg) has not yet gained his abilities, and Arthur Curry (Aquaman) never existed. It is therefore down to Barry, his near-identical alternate timeline doppelganger, and a retired Bruce Wayne (Batman) to protect Earth and its inhabitants from a disastrous new reality.
Classification moderate violence, injury detail, threat, infrequent strong language
